Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Take full responsibility for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of all engine room and auxiliary machinery, and lead the engine team to keep the vessel in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all engine room operations and maintenance
• Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for all machinery
• Ensure safe, efficient fuel and lube oil management
• Lead, train and supervise engine room crew
• Keep all technical records, logbooks and reports updated
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, class, flag and international regulations
• Support the Master in all safety and emergency operations

Requirements

• Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) CoC
• Good knowledge of engine room systems, planned maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong leadership, communication and safety mindset
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Candidate must have experience in ME and Bulk Carrier vessel with Crane
• Must have valid STCW and BT PSSR Training
• Prefers with valid US Visa
