Start your officer career at sea with OSM Thome as a 3rd Officer Junior on an oil/chemical tanker trading in Europe. You will be part of a professional bridge and deck team, gaining solid experience in navigation, cargo operations, and onboard safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Officer of the Watch with navigation, lookout, and watchkeeping duties
• Support mooring, anchoring, and ship handling operations
• Assist with cargo loading, discharging, and tank operations
• Carry out routine safety rounds and participate in drills
• Support maintenance of deck equipment and safety gear
• Follow company procedures, safety rules, and environmental regulations

Requirements

• Valid Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW) / 3rd Officer license
• STCW certificates valid in accordance with rank and vessel type
• Tanker (Oil/Chemical) familiarization and advanced training as required
• Valid medical fitness certificate and seaman’s book
• Good English communication skills
• Motivated junior officer looking to build a career in tanker shipping
