Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Prior roles as Driller, Senior Assistant Driller, or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of modern drilling systems, BOPs, and automation interfaces.
• Strong understanding of well control principles and procedures.
• Proven experience with 7th-generation rig technologies and dynamic positioning systems.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making under high-stress conditions.
• Valid medical fitness certificate for offshore deployment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Commitment to safety culture and proactive risk management.

Tasks:

• Lead and manage all aspects of drilling operations on a 7th-generation drillship.
• Oversee deployment, maintenance, and performance of drilling tools and equipment.
• Coordinate daily planning with drilling engineers, offshore supervisors, and service providers.
• Monitor drilling performance, optimize processes, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE procedures, regulatory standards, and company policies.
• Supervise and coach drilling crew to achieve operational objectives and skill development.
• Manage logistics and inventory of downhole tools, consumables, and spare parts.
• Facilitate shift handovers and maintain accurate operational reports.
• Implement preventive maintenance practices in conjunction with technical teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety performance.
