OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) for Product Tankers trading in India, the Middle East and Europe. You will be responsible for safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems on board, supporting the deck and engine teams to keep the vessel running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
• Carry out troubleshooting, fault finding and repairs on automation, navigation and communication systems
• Maintain and test alarm, monitoring, cargo control and safety systems as per company and class requirements
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance and keep proper records in the PMS
• Support safe tanker operations and assist during cargo, ballast and bunker operations when required
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures at all times

Requirements

• Valid ETO CoC meeting STCW requirements
• Recent sea service as ETO on Product/Chemical or other Tanker vessels
• Strong hands-on experience with marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
• Good knowledge of tanker safety rules, ISM and company procedures
• Valid STCW certificates, Tanker familiarization / advanced tanker training and valid Medical
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a multinational crew
