• Key responsibilities:
  • Assist Chief Engineer in safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
  • Monitor, maintain and repair main engine, auxiliaries, pumps, purifiers and other critical equipment
  • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance as per PMS and company procedures
  • Carry out bunkering operations and maintain fuel and lube oil records
  • Ensure good engine room housekeeping and compliance with company and international regulations
  • Support safe cargo operations related to engine and pump room equipment
  • Participate in safety drills and implement onboard safety and environmental policies
• Requirements:
  • Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC, unlimited
  • Recent experience on oil/chemical tankers in 2/E or 3/E rank
  • Good knowledge of engine room operations, tanker systems and safety procedures
  • Tanker endorsements (oil/chemical) and all valid STCW certificates
  • Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
  • Medically fit for sea service as per international standards
