Set sail with OSM Thome as a Assistant Baker on a passenger river cruise in Antarctica. You will be part of the galley team, preparing fresh baked goods that keep guests and crew well-fed and satisfied in a unique polar environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake bread, rolls, pastries, and desserts for guests and crew
- Assist in planning daily menus and baking schedules
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of baking ingredients
- Maintain galley hygiene and follow all food safety standards
- Work closely with the Chef and galley team to support smooth service
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Baker, preferably on passenger vessels or cruise ships
- Good knowledge of bakery operations and food safety standards
- Valid seafarer documents and medicals as per international requirements
- Ability to work in a cold and remote environment
- Good teamwork, reliability, and willingness to work in shifts
