Set sail as Chief Cook on an oil/chemical tanker trading in the North Sea. Take charge of the galley and keep the crew well-fed with safe, tasty and nutritious meals in all weather and around the clock.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
- Manage galley operations, stores and provisions
- Ensure strict hygiene and food safety at all times
- Control costs and reduce waste
- Work closely with the Master and officers on menus and supplies
Requirements
- Previous experience as Chief Cook, preferably on tankers
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of maritime food safety and galley hygiene
- Ability to work independently in a small multinational crew
- Strong English communication skills
