Join OSM Thome as a Fitter on our Oil/Chemical Tanker fleet trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on seafarer who can maintain, repair and fabricate steel structures and piping to keep the vessel safe and in good working condition.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out steel repairs, welding and cutting on deck and in engine room
• Maintain and repair pipelines, supports, ladders, handrails and tank fittings
• Assist with maintenance of cargo systems and deck machinery
• Support planned maintenance jobs as instructed by Chief Engineer
• Follow safety rules and permit-to-work procedures at all times

Requirements

• Experience as Fitter / Welder on tankers or similar vessels
• Good skills in welding (arc, gas) and gas cutting
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fit for sea service
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently
