OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Cook to serve onboard a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the galley, preparing good and safe food for an international crew and keeping a clean and well-organized working area.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
- Manage food stores, ordering, and stock control
- Ensure hygiene and cleanliness in galley and provision stores
- Follow all safety and sanitation rules onboard
- Work closely with the Master and Chief Officer on catering budget and crew needs
- Requirements:
- Previous sea service as Chief Cook on cargo vessels (car carrier preferred)
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
- Good knowledge of international and Asian cuisine
- Strong focus on food safety and galley hygiene
- Ability to communicate in English and work with a multinational crew
