Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of production facility operations and lifecycle support.
  • Hands-on exposure to pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and operations phases.
  • Solid understanding of HSE systems, risk management, and change management processes.
  • Ability to interface effectively with engineering teams, vendors, licensors, and contractors.
  • Experience with operational troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance improvement.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC certification processes and system documentation control.
  • Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Technical background in electrical systems, including diagnostic and preventive measures for electrical equipment.
  • Understanding of engines with combined mechanical and electrical systems, with focus on electrical performance and reliability.


Tasks:

  • Support technical activities across pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test runs, and operational phases.
  • Ensure all assigned activities comply with applicable HSE standards and safety requirements.
  • Participate in safety reviews, PSSR sessions, and HSE meetings, providing technical input.
  • Conduct field safety and quality observations and formally report findings.
  • Assist with progress reporting and operational readiness assessments.
  • Troubleshoot complex operational and HSE-related technical issues, including electrical failures beyond routine operations scope.
  • Perform diagnostics and preventive measures on electrical equipment and engines.
  • Lead or coordinate root cause investigations and prepare technical reports.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and replication of effective technical solutions across assets.
  • Provide ongoing technical oversight of production operations to support performance targets.
  • Coordinate operational technical matters with Corporate Engineering, Procurement, and Maintenance teams.
  • Support shutdown planning activities, including scope definition, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Manage technical change processes, including risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP, and documentation updates.
  • Review and maintain operating manuals, procedures, and engineering documentation.
  • Contribute to design reviews, commissioning readiness reviews, and system acceptance activities.
  • Review spare parts and consumables lists and support technical procurement activities.
  • Assist project teams during bidding, execution, and transition from commissioning to operations.
