OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Officer to join our offshore special purpose vessel operating in Brazil. If you are a dedicated navigator with strong safety awareness and good teamwork skills, we invite you to sail with us.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Officer with navigation, passage planning and bridge watchkeeping
• Perform safe watch on the bridge, ensuring compliance with COLREGs and company procedures
• Monitor vessel position, course and speed, and report any deviations or hazards
• Assist with cargo, deck and offshore operations as required
• Maintain navigational equipment, charts and publications up to date
• Support the implementation of safety, environmental and security procedures onboard

Requirements

• Valid STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch (Deck) CoC or higher, suitable for offshore service
• Previous experience as 2nd Officer or OOW, preferably on offshore or special purpose vessels
• Valid STCW certificates (Basic Safety, Advanced Fire Fighting, PSCRB, Medical, etc.)
• Good knowledge of COLREGs, bridge resource management and safe navigation practices
• Ability to work in an international crew and follow company safety standards
• Valid passport and seafarer’s documents accepted for work in Brazil
•  Experience with Kongsberg equipment and DP full. 
• Shuttle tanker experience also required.
