Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on an offshore FPSO/FSO project based out of Cairo, Egypt. You will support the safe and reliable operation of the engine room and all machinery, working closely with the Chief Engineer and the rest of the technical team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in running and maintaining main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Monitor engine performance, fuel and lube oil consumption, and keep accurate engine room logs
• Ensure safe operation of pumps, generators, purifiers and other vital systems
• Follow company safety procedures and participate in drills and toolbox talks
• Support troubleshooting and repairs, including coordination with shore support when needed

Requirements

• Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC, unlimited or appropriate for offshore FPSO/FSO
• Previous experience as 2/E, preferably on FPSO/FSO or offshore units
• Up-to-date STCW certificates and valid seafarer medical
• Strong knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance and safety procedures
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a multinational crew
