Join OSM Thome as a Cable Repairman/Mechanic on an offshore cable-layer operating worldwide. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the deck and engineering teams to install, handle, and repair subsea power and communication cables in global offshore locations.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist with cable laying, retrieval, jointing and deck handling operations
• Carry out mechanical repair and maintenance on cable-handling gear and related equipment
• Support fault-finding and repair on damaged or defective cables
• Follow permits, toolbox talks and safety procedures during all deck and offshore work
• Keep tools, work areas and equipment in good and safe working order

• Requirements:
• Previous experience as cable repairman, mechanic, or similar role on cable-layer or offshore vessels
• Good knowledge of cable-handling equipment and basic mechanical systems
• Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical, fit for worldwide service
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a small offshore team
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
