Join OSM Thome as Cook on board an LNG Tanker trading in Brazil. You will be in charge of preparing good, safe meals for the crew, keeping the galley clean and tidy, and making sure all food stores are properly handled and stored.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for officers and crew
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in galley and storerooms
- Order, receive, check and rotate food provisions
- Follow food safety and HACCP standards at all times
- Work closely with Master and Chief Officer on menu and budget
- Requirements:
- Previous sea experience as Ship Cook, preferably on tankers
- Valid Ship Cook Certificate and basic STCW documents
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley safety
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
- Ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew and under time pressure
