OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join our chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to keep all machinery running safely and efficiently on board.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist the Chief Engineer with day-to-day operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs for engine room and deck machinery
• Monitor engine performance, fuel and lube oil consumption and keep accurate engine room logs
• Supervise engine room ratings and ensure safe working practices at all times
• Support bunkering, cargo operations and ballast operations as required
• Follow all SMS, safety and environmental procedures and take part in drills

• Requirements:
• Valid 2nd Engineer (Motor) CoC, meeting STCW requirements for service on chemical tankers
• Recent seagoing experience as 2/E on chemical or product tankers
• Valid tanker documents (including Advanced Chemical Tanker training)
• Good English communication skills, written and spoken
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and necessary vaccinations
• Strong focus on safety, teamwork and planned maintenance
• ME- engine experience
