Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer (3/E) on chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, helping to keep the vessel safe, efficient and well maintained on all voyages.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
- Carry out planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting as directed by senior engineers
- Monitor engine room parameters and keep accurate logs and records
- Support bunkering, fuel transfer and pollution-prevention procedures
- Follow all safety, permit-to-work and company procedures at all times
- Assist during port operations, cargo-related duties and emergency drills
Requirements
- Valid 2nd engineer CoC, endorsed for chemical tankers
- STCW basic and advanced tanker / chemical tanker training certificates
- Previous experience on tankers preferred, chemical tanker experience an advantage
- Valid medical certificate and seafarer documents as per STCW and flag requirements
- Good English communication and ability to work in a multinational crew
- Strong safety mindset, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
