Join OSM Thome as 3rd Officer on an offshore cable-layer operating worldwide. You will be part of the bridge team, supporting safe navigation, deck operations, and cable-laying activities on a modern offshore vessel.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Stand navigational watch and ensure safe passage at sea and during offshore operations
  • Assist with planning and execution of cable-laying and related marine operations
  • Monitor navigational equipment, position-keeping and compliance with COLREGs
  • Carry out safety rounds, drills and maintain safety and life-saving equipment as assigned
  • Prepare and update logs, checklists and other bridge documentation
  • Support mooring, anchoring and other deck operations as required
• Requirements:
  • Valid 3rd Officer (OOW) license and STCW certificates in line with rank
  • Offshore or specialized vessel experience preferred (cable-layer/DP/OSV an advantage)
  • Good English communication skills, spoken and written
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
  • Medically fit for sea service and all documents valid for worldwide trading
