Key responsibilities

• Overall command of the vessel, crew, and shipboard operations
• Safe navigation, passage planning and watchkeeping management
• Safe and efficient loading, carriage and discharge of oil/chemical cargoes
• Compliance with flag, class, company and international rules and regulations
• Leadership, training and appraisal of officers and ratings
• Emergency preparedness and response, safety drills and risk management
• Maintaining vessel documentation, reports and communication with shore

Requirements

• Valid STCW Master (Unlimited) CoC
• Recent experience as Master or Chief Officer on oil/chemical tankers
• Strong tanker operations and cargo handling background
• Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements as per regulations
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Strong leadership, decision-making and safety mindset
• Medically fit for sea duty as per international standards
