Explore this job opportunity as a Heavy Lift Crane Operator for an Offshore Fleet operating Worldwide. Employment will be with our client, a drilling and construction contractor.


Information about the job:

  • Position: Heavy Lift Crane Operator.
  • Project: Offshore Fleet.
  • Location: Worldwide.
  • Rotation: 90/30 days on/off or 56/28 days on/off.
  • Salary: Please confirm your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly.
  • Contract start: TBA.
  • Contract duration: 12 months (renewable).
  • Overtime: Applicable.
  • Insurances: Provided by the Company.

Requirements / Qualifications / Competence:

  • Valid IMCA Logbook required.
  • Stage 3 certification is essential (recently expired certificates may still be reviewed).
  • Proven heavy-lift vessel experience operating large-capacity cranes:

  1. 250–2000t range: strong track record with cranes ≥400t.
  2. 2000t+ range: extensive and consistent experience with cranes ≥1000t.

  • Demonstrated offshore operational competence and safety awareness
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Tasks:

  • Operate main crane systems during offshore heavy-lift activities.
  • Plan and execute lifts in coordination with deck crew and supervisors.
  • Monitor load movements to ensure safe and precise handling.
  • Perform pre-use checks and report any technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate logbook entries and operational documentation.
  • Follow all onboard safety procedures and lifting guidelines.
  • Support general deck operations when required.
