Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) onboard an offshore special purpose vessel operating out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will be responsible for safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting smooth daily vessel operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and maintain all electrical, electronic and automation systems onboard
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in power generation, distribution and control systems
- Maintain and test navigation, communication and dynamic positioning (DP) equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance and keep records up to vessel and company standards
- Ensure electrical safety and compliance with class, flag and company procedures
- Assist bridge and engine teams during operations, drills and emergencies
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC meeting STCW requirements
- Previous experience as ETO, preferably on offshore or special purpose vessels
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
- Good English communication skills
- All mandatory STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
- Ability to work safely in a multinational crew and offshore environment
