Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on Oil/Chemical Tankers trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting safe cargo and ship operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and repair electrical, electronic and automation systems, including power generation and distribution
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting on navigation, communication and cargo control systems
- Support engine and deck teams with electrical support for cargo pumps, valves and instrumentation
- Monitor and maintain safety systems, including fire detection, gas detection and emergency power
- Keep accurate maintenance records and report defects, repairs and spare parts needs
- Requirements:
- Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates for tanker service
- Experience as ETO on Oil/Chemical Tankers
- Good knowledge of high and low voltage marine systems, automation and control systems
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and willing to work worldwide
- ME engine experience.
