Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on an offshore cable-layer based in Bergen, Norway. You will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe and efficient operations on a modern offshore vessel.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist the Chief Officer with bridge watchkeeping and navigation
• Plan and execute safe voyages according to COLREGs and company procedures
• Assist in DP operations and cable-laying activities as required
• Monitor and maintain safety equipment and deck operations
• Prepare and update charts, publications and navigational documents
• Support the implementation of SMS, HSE and permit-to-work systems
• Lead and supervise deck crew during routine operations and drills
• Requirements:
• Valid STCW license as OICNW / 2nd Officer
• Previous experience as 2/O, preferably on offshore or DP vessels
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
• Good knowledge of COLREGs, bridge procedures and ISM/ISPS
• DP familiarization or DP certificate is an advantage
• Good English communication skills, spoken and written
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a multinational crew
