OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 2nd Officer for worldwide trading on Oil/Chemical tankers. Sail with a solid, safety-focused company and be part of a professional deck team on international voyages.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Stand navigational watch and ensure safe passage planning
  • Assist Master and Chief Officer in daily deck operations
  • Monitor cargo operations, tank inspections and line-up as assigned
  • Maintain navigation equipment, charts and publications up to date
  • Take part in safety drills, ISM/ISPS routines and emergency response
  • Support mooring operations and deck crew supervision
• Requirements:
  • Valid 2nd Officer (OOW Deck) certificate meeting STCW requirements
  • Recent experience on Oil/Chemical tankers
  • Valid tanker endorsement (Oil/Chemical) and related safety courses
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Strong safety awareness and proven watchkeeping skills
  • Medically fit for sea duty with valid medical certificate
