OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to serve on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be responsible for safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems on board, supporting smooth and safe vessel operations.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment, including power generation and distribution systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automation, control and instrumentation systems
  • Maintain and test navigation, communication and cargo control systems
  • Ensure safe operation of high-voltage equipment and electrical safety on board
  • Carry out planned maintenance and keep technical records up to date
  • Support the engine and deck teams during cargo operations, port calls and drills
• Requirements:
  • Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates
  • Sea service as ETO, preferably on oil/chemical tankers
  • Experience with ME engines
  • Strong experience with marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
  • Good command of English, spoken and written
  • Medically fit for sea service and ready to work in a multinational crew
