Join OSM Thome as an Able Seafarer (AB) on an LNG tanker trading in and out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Be part of a professional crew, working safely on deck and supporting smooth cargo and navigation operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Carry out deck duties including mooring, unmooring, anchoring, and cargo operations
- Keep deck areas, equipment, and gear clean, safe, and ready for use
- Stand watch on deck and on the bridge as lookout and helmsman when required
- Assist with routine maintenance, painting, greasing, and basic repairs
- Follow all safety procedures and take part in drills and emergency duties
- Requirements:
- Valid AB CoC and STCW certificates as per international and flag requirements
- Previous experience on tankers; LNG experience is an advantage
- Valid medical fitness certificate and seaman’s book
- Good command of English, spoken and written
- Strong safety mindset, teamwork attitude, and readiness to work in a mixed-nationality crew
