Join OSM Thome, IWS as Chief Cook (C/C) on a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) operating offshore Denmark. You will be responsible for providing good, wholesome meals to the crew and ensuring a clean and safe galley at all times.
- Key responsibilities:
- Plan menus and prepare daily meals for crew and officers
- Order, receive and control food stores and galley supplies
- Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation and minimising waste
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in galley and storerooms
- Follow all food safety and HSE procedures on board
- Support a positive onboard environment through good, timely catering service
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook at sea, preferably on offshore vessels
- Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness certificate as per STCW
- Recognised cook/catering certificate
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and galley hygiene
- Ability to work independently and manage stores and menus
- Good English communication skills
