Set sail as a Wiper on our worldwide Oil/Chemical Tanker fleet with OSM Thome. Work closely with the engine crew, keep machinery spaces clean and safe, and build your sea career in a hands-on engine room role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engine crew with routine engine room duties and watchkeeping
• Clean and maintain engine room, stores, bilges, and workshop areas
• Handle basic lubrication, filters, and simple maintenance as instructed
• Support bunkering, tank soundings, and engine room rounds when required
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times
• Report any defects or unsafe conditions to senior engine officers

Requirements

• Valid STCW basic safety training and seaman’s book
• Previous experience as Wiper or engine rating preferred
• Tanker (Oil/Chemical) familiarization and relevant certificates an advantage
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Team player with a responsible and safety-minded attitude
