Join OSM Thome as 2nd Officer on a modern car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe navigation, cargo operations, and overall vessel safety.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Stand navigational watch in compliance with COLREGs and company procedures
  • Assist the Chief Officer with cargo planning and car carrier loading/discharging
  • Monitor and maintain navigational equipment and charts (paper/ECDIS)
  • Participate in safety drills, ISM/ISPS routines and permit-to-work systems
  • Assist with deck maintenance, inspections and reporting
• Requirements:
  • Valid STCW II/1 or II/2 CoC for 2nd Officer (or OOW eligible for 2/O rank)
  • Experience on Ro-Ro / car carriers preferred
  • Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates, medical and GMDSS
  • Good English communication skills, written and spoken
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in an international crew
