Join OSM Thome as 3rd Officer on a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of the bridge team, helping to ensure safe navigation, cargo safety and smooth daily operations at sea and in port.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Stand bridge watch as Officer of the Watch, ensuring safe navigation and compliance with COLREGs
  • Assist with voyage planning, position fixing and updating charts and publications
  • Take part in mooring, unmooring and anchoring operations
  • Support cargo operations and monitoring of vehicle decks as required
  • Carry out safety rounds, drills and inspections as per company procedures
  • Maintain assigned safety, navigation and life-saving equipment
• Requirements:
  • Valid STCW OICNW / 3rd Officer license appropriate for vessel trade
  • Previous experience as 3/O or deck officer, preferably on car carriers or Ro-Ro vessels
  • Valid STCW safety courses, medical certificate and seaman’s book
  • Good English communication skills, spoken and written
  • Fit for worldwide trading and willing to work in a multinational crew
