Set sail as an Assistant Pastry onboard our passenger ferry in Europe. Support the pastry team in preparing fresh breads, cakes and desserts for guests and crew, while keeping high standards of taste, hygiene and safety in the galley.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and baking pastries, breads and desserts
- Help with portioning, plating and buffet set-up
- Follow food safety, hygiene and galley cleaning routines
- Store and handle provisions correctly to avoid waste
- Support the Pastry Chef and galley team during busy service
- Requirements:
- Experience in pastry or bakery, preferably at sea or in hotels/restaurants
- Basic knowledge of food safety and galley hygiene
- Good teamwork and communication skills in an international crew
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
- Valid seagoing documents as per flag and company requirements
