Set sail as a Wiper on our container vessel and build your seagoing career with OSM Thome. You will work closely with the engine crew, helping to keep all machinery and spaces clean, safe and in good running order while trading worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engine room staff with daily operations and routine engine watch duties
• Clean and maintain engine room, workshops and machinery spaces
• Handle basic maintenance tasks as directed (wiping, greasing, painting, simple repairs)
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE as instructed
• Support bunkering, garbage handling and other engine department tasks as required

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates and seafarer’s documents for Wiper rating
• Previous sea service in the engine department preferred
• Medically fit for sea duty with valid medical certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
