Join OSM Thome as Chief Cook on a container vessel trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the galley, preparing good, healthy meals for the crew and keeping high standards of hygiene and safety on board.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook daily meals for officers and crew
- Plan menus and manage food stocks within budget
- Keep galley, pantry, fridges, and freezers clean and orderly
- Follow all food safety and hygiene rules
- Work closely with the Master and Chief Officer on catering matters
Requirements
- Previous experience as Chief Cook or Cook on ocean-going vessels
- Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness certificate
- Food handling / catering certificates as per flag and company rules
- Good command of English for galley and safety communication
- Ability to work independently and keep high standards at sea
