Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on an offshore cable-layer trading worldwide. You will be a key part of the deck and bridge team, supporting safe and efficient marine and cable operations.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Master in safe navigation and overall vessel operations
- Plan and supervise deck, mooring, and cargo/cable handling operations
- Lead and train deck crew, ensuring safe working practices
- Oversee stability, ballast, and cargo planning
- Maintain deck equipment, LSA/FFA, and safety systems
- Support offshore and DP operations as required
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international regulations
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Officer COC (unlimited)
- Previous experience as C/O or 2/O on offshore / cable-layer / DP vessels preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and offshore medical
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and safety mindset
- Willingness to work worldwide on rotational contracts
