Join OSM Thome, IWS as a 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on board a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) operating offshore France. Support the Galley team in preparing tasty, safe meals for the crew, keeping high hygiene standards and smooth kitchen operations at sea.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Cook in daily meal preparation and baking
- Help plan and prepare menus, including special diets when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, stores and mess rooms
- Receive, check and store food supplies correctly
- Follow all food safety, HACCP and company procedures
- Support waste control and stock rotation
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea, preferably offshore
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for offshore work
- Basic food safety / hygiene training and knowledge of HACCP
- Good English communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and safety-first mindset
