Join OSM Thome, IWS as a 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on board a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) operating offshore France. Support the Galley team in preparing tasty, safe meals for the crew, keeping high hygiene standards and smooth kitchen operations at sea.

  • Key responsibilities:
    • Assist the Chief Cook in daily meal preparation and baking
    • Help plan and prepare menus, including special diets when needed
    • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, stores and mess rooms
    • Receive, check and store food supplies correctly
    • Follow all food safety, HACCP and company procedures
    • Support waste control and stock rotation
  • Requirements:
    • Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook at sea, preferably offshore
    • Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for offshore work
    • Basic food safety / hygiene training and knowledge of HACCP
    • Good English communication skills
    • Team player with a positive attitude and safety-first mindset
