OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to sail on a Cargo Transfer Vessel (CTV) in Brazil. If you are confident in keeping all electrical and electronic systems at sea running safely and smoothly, we invite you to be part of our crew.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment onboard
• Monitor and troubleshoot power generation and distribution systems
• Carry out planned maintenance on automation, control and navigation systems
• Support deck and engine teams with electrical and electronic issues
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs and spare parts
• Ensure all work is done safely and in line with company and class requirements

Requirements

• Valid ETO CoC and STCW certificates in line with international standards
• Previous sea service as ETO, preferably on CTV or offshore/support vessels
• Strong knowledge of marine power systems, automation and electronic controls
• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
• Fit for duty with valid medical and other mandatory documents
• Ability to work in a mixed crew and under changing offshore conditions
