Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on our container vessel trading worldwide. Lead the engine department, keep the vessel safe, efficient and well maintained, and support smooth daily operations at sea and in port.

• Key responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise all engine room crew
• Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs on all machinery and equipment
• Monitor engine performance, fuel and lube oil consumption
• Ensure safe operation of propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems
• Keep engine logbooks, records and reports up to date
• Follow company procedures, SMS and international regulations
• Cooperate closely with the Master and deck department

• Requirements:
• Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
• Recent experience as C/E or 1/E on container or similar vessels
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Strong leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Safety-minded and able to work independently under pressure
