Join OSM Thome as Electrical Engineer on a modern car carrier trading worldwide. Work with an international crew, keep all electrical and electronic systems running safely, and support smooth vessel operations across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair all electrical and electronic equipment onboard
• Carry out fault-finding and troubleshooting on power systems and automation
• Monitor and maintain main switchboard, generators, motors and lighting systems
• Support maintenance of navigation, communication and cargo handling systems
• Plan and follow preventive maintenance and keep correct technical records
• Ensure all work is done safely and in line with company and flag state rules

Requirements

• Valid Electrical Engineer / ETO license and STCW certificates
• Experience as Electrical Engineer or ETO on seagoing vessels, car carriers preferred
• Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on work approach
• Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
• Medically fit for sea service and ready for worldwide trading
