Join OSM Thome as Chief Officer on board modern oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Lead the deck team, support safe cargo operations, and contribute to high standards of safety and seamanship across all voyages.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Master in navigation, ship handling and overall vessel management
• Plan and supervise cargo loading, discharge and tank cleaning operations
• Oversee deck crew, work planning and watchkeeping duties
• Maintain deck, cargo spaces, LSA/FFA and related safety equipment
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, vetting, ISM, ISPS and MARPOL
• Prepare and update cargo, stability and ballast plans and relevant documentation

Requirements

• Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate license (STCW II/2)
• Recent experience as C/O or 2/O on oil/chemical tankers
• Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements (Oil/Chemical)
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Strong safety mindset, leadership skills and team attitude
• Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
