Start your sea career as an Engine Cadet with OSM Thome on an Oil/Chemical Tanker trading in Europe. You will learn from an experienced engine team, gain hands-on practice with machinery, and build the skills needed for your future as an Engine Officer.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist engine officers and crew in daily engine room operations
- Support routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and equipment
- Take part in watchkeeping under supervision
- Follow safety procedures and company rules at all times
- Keep engine logs and records as instructed
- Requirements:
- Completed or ongoing maritime education as Engine Cadet / Engine Officer student
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Good spoken and written English
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work in a team
- Motivation for a long-term career at sea in the engine department
