OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer for worldwide trading oil/chemical tankers. Sail with a modern fleet, lead a solid engine team, and keep the vessel safe, efficient, and compliant.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Take full charge of engine department and technical operations
  • Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs of all machinery and equipment
  • Monitor safe and economical operation of main engine, auxiliaries, and cargo systems
  • Ensure compliance with class, flag, ISM, MARPOL, and company procedures
  • Manage engine crew, training, and work planning
  • Maintain engine room logs, records, and reports
  • Support safe cargo operations for oil/chemical cargoes
• Requirements:
  • Valid Chief Engineer license, unlimited
  • Recent experience as C/E on oil/chemical tankers
  • All STCW certificates and documents up to date
  • Good knowledge of safety and pollution prevention rules
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in English
  • Fit for duty with valid medical and necessary tanker endorsements
