Join OSM Thome as 2nd Cook and be part of a small, dedicated galley team in Antarctica. You will support the Chief Cook in preparing good, hearty meals for the crew in a unique and challenging environment.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in daily food preparation and cooking for officers and crew
• Help plan and prepare simple, varied menus suitable for cold climate
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the galley and food stores
• Assist with receiving, checking and proper storage of provisions
• Follow all food safety, HACCP and company procedures
• Support dishwashing and general galley cleaning as needed

• Requirements:
• Previous experience as 2nd Cook, hotel or restaurant background preferred
• Basic knowledge of international and crew-style cooking
• Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness for polar trading area
• Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
• Ability to work in remote, cold conditions and follow safety rules at all times
