**Description**
2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on board a passenger ferry trading from the Netherlands under Denmark (DIS) flag. Assist the Chief Cook with daily galley operations and ensure safe, hygienic and efficient food preparation for crew and passengers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing and cooking daily meals for crew and passengers
- Support menu preparation and portion control as instructed by the Chief Cook
- Maintain cleanliness and order in galley, storerooms and mess rooms
- Handle food storage, stock rotation and inventory checks
- Follow all hygiene, safety and sanitation standards on board
- Assist in receiving and checking galley provisions
- Work safely in accordance with company and vessel procedures
**Requirements**
- Previous seagoing experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook or similar galley role
- Experience on passenger vessels or ferries preferred
- Valid seagoing documents and medical fitness certificate as per flag/state requirements
- Basic food hygiene and safety knowledge (valid food handler / hygiene certificate preferred)
- Ability to work in a small galley team and follow instructions
- Able to communicate in English at working level
