OSM Thome Recruitment is seeking an energetic and talented Disc Jockey to join Royal Caribbean Group onboard entertainment team. This role is ideal for a dynamic entertainment professional who knows how to read a crowd, create an exciting atmosphere, and deliver memorable guest experiences through music, hosting, and live interaction.
As Disc Jockey, you will serve as master of ceremonies in lounges, nightclubs, and other entertainment venues across the vessel, while operating music, lighting, and video equipment to create engaging experiences that enhance guest satisfaction and support onboard revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Perform as Disc Jockey and master of ceremonies in various lounges, nightclubs, and entertainment venues onboard
- Operate music, lighting, and video equipment to produce lively and engaging entertainment experiences
- Build and maintain music playlists across a wide variety of genres, including top 40, dance, rock, Latin, disco, reggae, and classic rock
- Read the audience and adapt music selections to suit different demographics and maintain high energy levels
- Participate in onboard events, theme nights, shows, and activities organized by the Cruise Director’s Division
- Host or support special group functions such as charters, promotional events, themed evenings, and presentations
- Assist with audio-visual coordination and spotlight operation when needed for production shows and events
- Assemble and dismantle activity props and equipment before and after events
- Support embarkation and debarkation procedures when required
- Complete required reports, attend meetings and training sessions, and carry out other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of professional Disc Jockey experience
- Proven ability to engage and motivate an audience based on demographics and atmosphere
- Previous experience as a master of ceremonies or within resorts, cruise lines, entertainment, or recreation is preferred
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of music genres and current music trends
- Ability to operate music, audio, lighting, and related entertainment equipment
- Strong guest service and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills, including familiarity with programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- High school diploma or equivalent required
