Join OSM Thome as Fitter (FTR) on our Oil/Chemical Tanker fleet trading worldwide. We are looking for a hands-on, safety-minded seafarer who can maintain and repair steel structures, piping systems and deck machinery to keep the vessel in top condition.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out steel repairs, cutting, welding and grinding on deck and in engine room
• Maintain and repair pipelines, supports, brackets, handrails and other steel fittings
• Assist with maintenance of deck and engine machinery as instructed by officers
• Support cargo and ballast operations as required on oil/chemical tankers
• Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times
• Keep tools, workshop and work areas clean, organized and ready for use

Requirements:

• Previous experience as Fitter onboard seagoing vessels, preferably tankers
• Strong skills in welding, cutting and general metal work
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
• Good command of English for shipboard communication
• Ability to work safely, follow instructions and cooperate with multicultural crew
• Willingness to work worldwide on Oil/Chemical Tanker trade
