Sail with OSM Thome as 2nd Cook and support the galley team in Antarctica. You will help prepare daily meals for crew and officers, keeping high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety in a remote, cold-water operation.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chief Cook in preparing and cooking daily meals for all onboard
- Help plan menus, store provisions and control galley inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, mess rooms and storerooms
- Follow food safety, HACCP, and company standards at all times
- Support dishwashing, cleaning and waste segregation as needed
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as Assistant Cook / 2nd Cook, preferably at sea
- Hotel/restaurant background with solid cooking skills
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer medical, as required
- Good English communication and able to work in multinational crew
- Fit to work in cold and remote Antarctic conditions, with flexible attitude
