We are looking for 10 Chief Engineers (C/E) based in Europe to take full responsibility for the engine department on a container vessel trading worldwide. You will ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of all machinery and equipment at sea and in port.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the engine room team, including planning and assigning daily duties
  • Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
  • Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per PMS and company standards
  • Oversee bunkering, lube oil and fuel management, including proper records and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with flag, class, ISM, MARPOL and company safety procedures
  • Maintain engine room documentation, logs and technical reports
  • Support safe vessel operations in close cooperation with the Master and deck department
  • Requirements:
  • Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) CoC for container vessel operations
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in rank
  • Previous experience as C/E on container vessels; preferred
  • Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness as per international standards
  • Strong knowledge of engine room systems, PMS and safety procedures
  • Good English communication skills, written and spoken
  • Leadership skills and ability to train and guide engine room crew
