Electrician (ELEC) needed for container vessel, worldwide trading. Maintain and repair all electrical systems onboard.
We are looking for an experienced Electrician (ELEC) to work on a container vessel trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and electronic systems onboard.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and repair electrical power generation and distribution systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, starters, switchboards and panels
- Maintain and test automation, alarm and monitoring systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per PMS and keep proper records
- Support engine room and deck teams with electrical and electronic work when required
- Ensure safe working practices and compliance with vessel and company procedures
- Previous seagoing experience as Electrician (ELEC), preferably on container vessels
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
- Located in Europe
- Good knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
- Good English communication skills
