Join OSM Thome as Messman on our worldwide oil/chemical tankers. You will support the galley and crew mess, helping to keep daily life on board safe, clean, and well organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in meal preparation and basic food handling
• Set up, serve, and clear meals in the crew and officers’ mess
• Wash dishes, utensils, galley and mess room equipment
• Keep galley, pantry, storerooms, and mess areas clean and tidy
• Handle garbage segregation and disposal according to vessel procedures
• Assist with receiving, checking, and proper storing of provisions
• Follow all safety and hygiene rules on board

Requirements

• Previous experience as Messman or similar position at sea preferred
• Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness certificate
• Basic safety training and tanker familiarization certificates as required
• Good level of English for shipboard communication
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Fit for hard work and long hours in a busy galley environment
