Join our offshore team as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook on a construction vessel trading worldwide. You will support the Chief Cook in preparing good, healthy meals for the crew and maintain a clean and safe galley.
- Key responsibilities:
- Assist in daily meal preparation for crew and officers
- Help plan menus and follow standard recipes
- Assist with baking, salads and special diet meals
- Ensure proper storage, labeling and rotation of food stocks
- Maintain galley and mess room cleanliness and hygiene
- Follow all safety, health and sanitation procedures
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Cook / Assistant Cook, preferably offshore or at sea
- Basic culinary training or seagoing cook experience
- Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work in a small team and under time pressure
- Strong focus on hygiene, safety and quality of food
