OSM Thome is looking for a keen and safety-minded 3rd Officer Junior to join our chemical tanker fleet trading worldwide. This is a good step for officers who want solid sea-time and hands-on experience on modern tankers.

• Key responsibilities:
• Assist with bridge watchkeeping under the supervision of senior officers
• Support safe navigation, voyage planning and record keeping
• Assist with cargo and ballast operations on chemical tankers
• Carry out routine inspections, rounds and safety checks
• Take part in drills, emergency response and environmental protection duties
• Support maintenance of deck equipment, safety gear and LSA/FFA

• Requirements:
• Valid 3rd Officer / OOW Deck license meeting STCW requirements
• Basic tanker / chemical tanker familiarisation (preferred)
• Valid STCW safety courses and medical certificate
• Good English communication, spoken and written
• Team player with a strong safety and compliance mindset
• Willing to learn and develop a career on chemical tankers
